Win the world's first wearable waterproof African surf map

Alright. It’s our new raincoat. But its lining is a map! And the coat is 100% waterproof! Made in South Africa with our friends at Forecast, the coat is 100% waterproof and windproof. It comes in a wide range of colours all called Charcoal. The seams are heat sealed to avoid any water leakage. So when you are standing at Witsands and there’s a howling northeaster and sideways rain, you’re not going to get wet.

The coat lining is a map showing 86 surf spots around the South African coast, covering some of the finest breaks on the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. So, if you’re lost or want some inspiration lay the coat out and hatch a plan!

The coat is worth R1799 and currently only available in the Mami Wata store in Rose Street; but we’ve got one to give away. To stand a chance to win you just need to sign up to our newsletter.

For our friends already signed up to our newsletter there is good news: recommend a friend to sign-up and if they win, you win! Yes, you can also win one of these coats. So there are actually two coats to be won.

We’ve also got two runners-up prizes: our ‘133 African Surf Spots’ map, and a ‘Surf Africa’ beanie.

The winner will be contacted directly using a whistle or we’ll shout your name really loudly or we’ll send you an email. Rest assured, you will be united with your coat.

This competition is now closed.
